Synopsis

“Duay Klaw” is a movie which shows the faithful and sincerity to King Rama IX. The theme of the movie is a principle which includes good contents to teach people and show the difficulties of being farmers. A must watched movie for all Thai citizen. A film has been made in 1987, for His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej (King Rama IX) to celebrate his 40 years of reign celebrations in 1986. The director and screenwriter of this title is Mr. Bhandit Rittakol. Along with so many talented actors and actresses, including, Jaran Manopet, Jintara Sukkapat, Santisuk Promsiri, Krit Sukkamongkol, Naruemon Nilwan, and Rome Issara. Most of all, “DUAY KLAW” is the one and only Thai feature film that has 9 musical composition of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej (King Rama IX) – Falling Rain, Love in Spring, H.M. Blues, Blue Day, Love at Sundown, Magic Beams, Candlelight Blues, Near Dawn, and Smiles. “DUAY KLAW” is a story about Saokum (Jaran Manopet), a farmer from the Northern part of Thailand. He has collected a handful of grains from a Ploughing Ceremony in Bangkok (this event happens around 1962-1964). With love, respect, and faith in “Father’s Rice”, a farmer has seeded rice on the barren land. Among all the profane from his family, natural disaster, and a mean investor, “Royal Rain” is like a “Water of kindness from the King”. He can later stand on his own, and looking over the results with happiness, with his two hands holding rice.
