Esarn is constantly in drought. During the summer it is very dry and during the rainy season the water drains away too quickly before farmers can grow anything. The young people leave their home and elders to go look for jobs far away. “I will live and die where I was born” says a young man’s stubborn determination to struggle with nature’s destructive unpredictable ways. If we do not win today, there’ll be a day when we will, as long as we love our land where we were born.
